Ships & Sea Exploration
The seas of Vega Realms are vast, dangerous, and full of opportunity.
Owning a ship unlocks a completely new layer of gameplay, from exploration and trade to naval combat and hidden discoveries.
Sea travel is not just a way to move — it is a high-risk, high-reward system designed for adventurers willing to leave the safety of land.
Getting a Ship
Players can acquire ships through:
- Shipwright NPCs
- Crafting systems (advanced)
- Special rewards or rare drops
Each ship has:
- Durability
- Storage capacity
- Movement speed
- Crew requirements (future expansion)
Navigation
Ships can be controlled directly by the player.
Core navigation features include:
- Free movement across the sea
- Docking at ports and coastal areas
- Manual positioning and rotation
- Open sea exploration beyond safe zones
👉 Sailing requires awareness — the ocean is not always safe.
Sea Zones
The ocean is divided into different areas:
Coastal Waters
- Safe or semi-safe zones
- Ideal for beginners
- Lower rewards
Open Sea
- Increased danger
- Better loot opportunities
- Potential PvP encounters
Deep Sea
- Highly dangerous
- Rare creatures and events
- Endgame exploration content
Sea Creatures & Encounters
While sailing, players may encounter:
- Sea monsters
- Hostile creatures
- Random events
- Rare bosses
Encounters scale based on location and risk level.
👉 The deeper you go, the greater the danger — and the reward.
Naval Combat
Ships can engage in combat situations:
- Fight sea creatures
- Engage other players (PvP zones)
- Defend cargo and resources
Combat may involve:
- Positioning and movement
- Timing abilities
- Coordinating with other players
Builds & Sea Gameplay
Different builds perform differently at sea:
Warrior / Tank
- Strong against boarding and close combat
- High survivability
Archer
- Effective at ranged ship combat
- Good for controlling distance
Mage / Necromancer
- Strong burst damage against sea creatures
- Useful for AoE and control
Thief
- Excellent for ambush and boarding
- Can exploit positioning and stealth
Tamer / Summoner
- Pets and summons assist during encounters
- Strong sustained damage
Day & Night Interaction
The sea is affected by the Day & Night Cycle:
- Night increases danger and spawn rates
- Certain creatures only appear in darkness
- Visibility is reduced, making navigation harder
👉 Sailing at night is riskier, but more rewarding.
Exploration & Rewards
Sea exploration offers unique rewards:
- Rare resources
- Hidden locations
- Special loot tables
- Event-based encounters
Some areas can only be discovered by sailing far from known routes.
Risk vs Reward
The sea follows a simple rule:
👉 The further you travel, the more you risk — and the more you gain.
- Safe zones → low reward
- Open sea → balanced
- Deep sea → high risk, high reward
Important Notes
- Ships are valuable assets — losing one can be costly
- Always be prepared before sailing
- Team play significantly increases survival
- Sea content is designed for both solo and group gameplay
